A young participant with a history of AFRID works with the counsellor in discussing different fruits and vegetables during therapy session within the interactive platform.
The space opens the participant up to exploring types of plants available and whether or not they are real.
This allowed for discussions of the different sensory difficulties with fruits and vegetables, the textures and tastes, as well as how to decide if a food might be ok for them to try.
The curiosity of these discussions prompts the participant to buy some fruits and vegetable to try when they were grocery shopping with their family. They have decided they definitely do not like blueberries or tomatoes but are begging to enjoy purple grapes and strawberries, as long as mum makes sure they are not soggy.
