Body Doubling and Skills Building via Telehealth
Shared focus and practical support, live and online
Body doubling is a simple, well-established technique where two people share a space, in person or online, and work on their own tasks alongside each other. The presence of another person, calm and quietly focused, makes it easier for many people to begin, sustain and finish what they set out to do. Minds Support Network offers body doubling sessions and telehealth skills-building support for participants who benefit from that shared, focused presence.
How Body Doubling Sessions Work Sessions are held via secure video call
The participant and a member of our team log in at an agreed time, share what they are planning to work on, and then quietly focus on their planned tasks. There is space for check-ins, brief coaching moments, and reflection at the end. The focus is on showing up, getting started, and working at your own pace.
Skills-Building Sessions
Skills-building sessions are more structured. These can focus on executive function tools, planning and prioritising, communication, routine building, and other practical everyday skills. The support is shaped around what the participant wants to build.
Formats Available
Sessions can be one-off, weekly, or built into a broader support plan. Duration is flexible, from short check-ins to longer working blocks. Some participants combine body doubling with regular therapy; others use it on its own.
Who This May Suit
Participants who find it easier to start tasks when someone else is there, people looking to build routines or everyday skills, and anyone looking for a structured, supportive way to stay on track.

Onboarding, Assessments, Recommendations, and Additional Service costs
Our team takes time to review your information and complete an Initial Therapy Assessment and Recommendation. This helps us ensure your therapy plan is built around your needs and goals. This also may include a brief call with a member of our team. The assessment is charged at $156.16 (AUD).
From time to time, we may also complete a review assessment to check that your goals and plan are still relevant. These are charged at the hourly rate of the type of therapist conducting the assessment.
Our session fees cover your therapy, reasonable work, coordination and correspondence. Where these duties go beyond this time, additional charges may apply. This includes things outside of session such as clinical questions, calls, plan-changes, and repeated coordination requests for example. You will be informed when an additional charge will take place. Full details are set out in our Additional Services Policy and our Schedule of Fees.

Session Times

No long term commitment
If you wish to cancel at any time, let us know 48 hours before the next scheduled session. (All Group or Weekend Programs require 2 weeks cancellation notice.)
Program of Support for Group Sessions
Groups and Weekend Programs are delivered under a Program of Support (PoS).
This helps us provide stable, consistent group experiences while factoring in planning, therapist time, group structure, and outcomes more effectively, while giving families peace of mind around costs and scheduling.
Even if a participant misses a session, they will still be charged for the session supporting continuity, structure, and engagement for everyone involved. Read more about a PoS.
Set-up, Technical Issues & Reporting
Online platforms require occasional setup. Internet dropouts or technical issues may also occur. Our therapist takes notes during sessions, which is factored into the session duration. A small portion of each session will be spent on these necessary activities.
