Work as a therapist with Minds Support Network

All that you need to perform the sessions are:

  • Fluent spoken & written English
  • Strong internet connection
  • Laptop or PC
  • An expected level of IT experience
  • Gaming console (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo switch
  • Strong reliable internet
  • A good quality headset
  • A private space you can provide counselling from
  • A GREAT friendly attitude and a desire to help others!

All our programs and services are 100% virtual which means:

  • Work from home for every session
  • Manage your own day / week
  • No traffic jams or wasted personal time commuting
  • Control your own workload with sessions offered at all times
  • Create a schedule of between 5 to 30 hours each week
  • A supportive team of both highly qualified therapists and operational staff 
What does a Minds therapist do?

Counselling (or Psychotherapy) sessions are ran an Accredited Counselling Therapist who is accredited with ACA/PACFA as a Counsellor or Psychotherapist. Ideal for those looking to improve mental health and work towards their goals.

Psychologist (Psychology) sessions are ran by an Accredited Psychologist. Ideal for those who have been requested for more intensive therapy that can only be provided by a professional and qualified Psychologist.

Mentorships are ran by our graduate counsellors. This is a great option for undergraduate and postgraduate counsellors to build up hours and work placement while working as a professional counsellor for suitable participants. 

Speech Therapy (Pathology) sessions are ran a Speech Therapist (Pathologist) accredited with CPSP and helps participants improve communication, language and understanding.

Occupational Therapy sessions are ran by an Occupational Therapist registered with AHPRA. This form of therapy helps improves daily living, independence and emotional well-being.

Social Work sessions are ran by an accredited (AASW) Social Worker.

How to become a Minds Support Network therapist

All therapists must have WWCC and Police clearances. Applicants without these WILL NOT be considered.

Pre-requisites

  • Psychologist – Registered with AHPRA
  • Speech Therapist – Registered with CPSP
  • Occupational Therapist – Registered as an OT with AHPRA
  • Counsellor / Psychotherapist – Registered with ACA or PACFA
  • Social Worker – Registered with AASW
  • Working With Children Clearance as a minimum clearance
  • Police check
Pay and expectations

It is expected that you run your own private practice under your own ABN or run a similar business. It is also expected that you already have your own insurance, updated accreditations and any necessary clearances. You operate as a sub-contractor for Minds Support Network and invoice us weekly for the services provided.

Pay Rates 2024/2025 (up to June 30 2026) 

  • $75 per hourly session for counsellors with ACA level 2+ (or equivalent)
  • $37.50 per hourly session for counsellors with ACA level 1 (or equivalent)
